The Center for Michigan growth continues; fund development associate hired
The Center for Michigan is pleased to announce the hiring of Fund Development Associate Josiah Foster, who will play a key role in helping the nonprofit reach its membership, engagement and earned-revenue goals.
Foster’s hiring is part of a larger expansion at the Center for Michigan, the parent organization of Bridge Michigan and BridgeDetroit. The Center also is looking to hire an Institutional Membership & Sponsorship Sales Leader for its business operations.
Bridge Michigan, meanwhile, is seeking to add a capitol watchdog reporter, a statewide education reporter and two contract general assignment reporters. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, Bridge Michigan previously expanded to add reporters who cover the environment, business and health over the past three years.
“Josiah’s expertise in data management and constituent relations will be invaluable to the Center for Michigan’s membership and engagement teams. We are very fortunate that he’s joined us, as his work will enable us to bolster our service to and engagement with Bridge readers and members,” said Amber DeLind, Bridge’s membership and engagement director.
In his fund development role, Foster will organize and maintain the data systems the Center uses to strengthen relationships with readers of the Bridge publications. Readers also may interact with Foster when submitting questions or story tips, or when they have inquiries about Bridge membership opportunities.
Prior to joining the Center, Foster worked in fundraising at The Grosse Pointe War Memorial and at the Ypsilanti District Library. He is an Ypsilanti native and recent graduate of the University of Michigan. He can be reached by email at jfoster@centerformichigan.org.
