What we pay attention to means a lot. Sometimes, it can feel like our election-year attention spans look a little like this:
Among the hustle and bustle of a presidential election year, it can be easy to lose sight of the other political races.
But these races are just as important because they affect a plethora of things here at home.
For instance, the decisions Michigan voters make this year will impact the makeup of the state House. These legislators will be making decisions that impact roads and bridges, K-12 education standards, Line 5, and more. And we may be asked to vote on abortion regulations, LGBTQ civil rights, and lobbying regulations.
