Join Bridge for a discussion on racial justice in Michigan

July 28: Missed Bridge’s discussion on racial justice in Michigan? Watch the video

Here at Bridge, we consistently seek opportunities to talk with our readers about the most important issues impacting our lives in Michigan. Because we can’t do so in person now, we’re pleased to debut our monthly reader discussions online on July 28.

We asked for reader feedback on our first topic, and you chose racial justice and inequality in Michigan. We’ll discuss this critical topic in an hour-long, solutions-oriented discussion moderated by Capitol reporter Riley Beggin. Our special guest panelists include Branden Snyder, executive director of Detroit Action, a community organization working for housing and economic justice in Detroit, and Kafi Kumasi, associate professor of library and information science at Wayne State University, where she researches issues of equity and diversity.

Participants can submit questions for the panelists via the Zoom chat function.

How to join this live Zoom discussion

Our hour-long Zoom discussion is Tuesday, July 28 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. To be invited to participate in this discussion, please complete this form and we’ll send you the link via email.

To learn more about how to join a Zoom meeting, please watch this short video below. Zoom is free to use, and you can use the video call function on your computer, tablet, or phone, or you can call into the meeting using the conference line function.
