Bridge and nearly 75 readers were joined by Hanna-Attisha for the discussion of her first-person account of the Flint Water Crisis and the tenacity of those who worked to bring justice and clean water to Flint.

Hanna-Attisha discussed her emotional process of revealing the results of her study on lead levels in the blood of Flint children, the choice to include her personal story within the book, why she chose the book’s title and what it means to her as a physician, how we can make a difference in the fight against structural racism, deindustrialization and inequity, her continued work in Flint, Benton Harbor and other communities and much more.
