On Wednesday, Bridge Michigan's latest Great Lakes Conservation series discussion focused on the causes and solutions for toxic algae blooms in Lake Erie and the other Great Lakes.

This conversation was moderated by Keith Schneider, who is chief correspondent with frequent Bridge collaborator Circle of Blue and the author of "Danger Looms Where Toxic Algae Blooms."
Panelists included Alexis Smith, community technology coordinator for Freshwater Future, Rob Michaels, senior attorney for Environmental Law and Policy Center and Sandy Bihn, Lake Erie Waterkeeper, Waterkeeper Alliance, and opening remarks were given by Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Lansing.
This event is part of a six-part, bi-monthly discussion series about the Great Lakes produced in partnership with Circle of Blue and funded by the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation and the Bosch Community Fund.
