Property and Other Local Tax ExpendituresPoverty Exemption $8,300,000Provides an exemption for impoverished individuals who, in the judgment of the township supervisor and board of review, are unable to contribute towards the provision of public services.
State Income TaxHome Heating Assistance Credit $144,000Provides a refundable credit to assist low-income households with the cost of home heating. For FY 2011, these credits totaled an estimated $66.8 million. The program is primarily funded with a block grant from the federal government. The credit’s net cost to the state was $136,000 in FY 2011.
Sales and Use Tax ExpendituresDonated Vehicles $125,000Exempts certain vehicle transfers from the sales or use taxes when the vehicle is transferred from a qualifying organization to certain low-income families.

In some cases, the state does not estimate the value of a tax break, leaving the tax break value empty in its tables.
